CARLTON youngsters David Cuningham and Tom Williamson will return to action for the Northern Blues on Saturday.

The pair have been named to make their comebacks from injury when the Blues head to Box Hill City Oval this weekend.

It will be Williamson’s first game of the 2018 season after a back injury delayed his start to the year. The dashing defender played 15 AFL games in his debut season.

Cuningham will also feature for the Blues after a hamstring injury sustained early in the Round 4 VFL clash with Port Melbourne.

They headline the confirmed inclusions of a very extended Bertocchi squad, due to the extended bench at AFL level.

Nick Graham, Jed Lamb, Aaron Mullett, Matthew Shaw and Matthew Wright have also been included in the VFL side, as they are joined by Patrick Kerr, Jack Silvagni and Jacob Weitering on Carlton’s eight-man interchange.

The VFL team will be trimmed down in conjunction with Carlton’s team announcement on Friday at 5pm.

Forwards Jordan Johnston and Jason Williams are also named on the bench for Northern, making it nine inclusions for the upcoming game.

Coming out of the squad are Carlton youngsters Tom De Koning and Matthew Kennedy.

Alex Federico reprises his role as 23rd man.

Tom Wilson has been named in the midfield in what will be his 100th VFL game. Saturday’s game begins at 2pm.
