CARLTON co-captain Patrick Cripps will represent Jack Riewoldt’s RAMPAGE as vice-captain in this year’s AFLX tournament.

Recognised as one of the best players in the competition, Cripps will join Riewoldt’s side on February 22 at Marvel Stadium.

The midfield bull was one of the four vice-captains announced earlier today, joining Shaun Burgoyne (Eddie Betts’ DEADLY), Luke Hodge (Patrick Dangerfield’s BOLTS) and Marcus Bontempelli (Nat Fyfe’s FLYERS).

A month before the two players are in opposition on the MCG for the AFL season opener, Cripps said he was excited to join Riewoldt’s side.

“When he’s not singing Mr Brightside, Jack is a superhero of our game and I’m thrilled to help him lead team RAMPAGE,” Cripps said.

“With the rest of the team still to be named, I know it’s going to be fierce come February 22.”

AFLX - which aims to showcase the unique and most thrilling aspects of the game to engage new fans - will see the four teams compete in a round robin tournament.
