Six new recruits will pull on the Carlton jumper for the first time in today’s practice match against Hawthorn at Ikon Park.
Mitch McGovern (#11), Sam Walsh (#18), Nic Newman (#24), Michael Gibbons (#40), Will Setterfeld (#43) and Hugh Goddard (#45) will all feature for their new side in the opening practice match of 2019.
The Blues have named a 26-man squad for the clash with the Hawks, with consideration given to managing training loads of the entire playing group heading into the start of the JLT Community Series which begins next Thursday night against Essendon at Ikon Park.
