In his third season as development coach at the Blues, the former senior coach of the North Shore in the Geelong Football League will take charge of the team's young forwards.
Davenport was on Geelong's list for three seasons, winning the club's VFL best and fairest in 2008 before moving to Port Adelaide where he played 28 games.
