Daniel O'Keefe joined Carlton as a development coach in 2020 after spending eight years working with elite junior talent at the Geelong Falcons in the NAB League and most recently was an assistant coach with Geelong in the VFL.

In 2017 he became the Falcons' head coach, taking them to a premiership. He then spent a few seasons playing with Sydney and also with the Cats' VFL team under Dale Amos.

Building the Carlton Reserves list and culture from scratch, with the help of Luke Power, O'Keefe has built a strong foundation over the last two (interrupted) VFL seasons, overcoming the hurdles the pandemic has brought.
