THE AAMI Community Series pre-season schedule has been changed to one game per team as the League looks to reduce travel ahead of the Toyota AFL Premiership Season.

Carlton will no longer play Brisbane and Port Adelaide, instead playing one official AAMI Community Series game between Wednesday March 3 and Sunday March 7, with a team and date to be confirmed.

In addition to the one AAMI Community Series games, the Blues will also play a pre-season practice match against a team from Victoria to avoid interstate travel.

The format of those games – including number of players, quarter length etc – will be up to the participating teams.

The AFL has ensured that all teams will have a minimum seven-day break between their pre-season practice match and their AAMI Community Series game.

More information will be released in the coming weeks on the revised pre-season fixture.
