THE team is in for Carlton's second hit-out of the VFL season.

Carlton Reserves will take on Brisbane's VFL side at IKON Park at 11am on Saturday morning.

The side will welcome Matt Kennedy, Tom Williamson and Paddy Dow from the AFL list, with their depth and leadership to be an asset to the Reserves side.

Other AFL-listed players Will Setterfield, Lochie O'Brien, Matt Owies, Sam Philp, Josh Honey, Sam Ramsay and Corey Durdin will stay in the side after being selected for the Reserves last week.

Dow, Kennedy, Owies and Williamson have been named as the AFL emergencies: one of these players won't feature as they take on the role of medical sub tomorrow evening at Marvel Stadium.

Carlton will still be fielding a predominantly VFL-listed defence, with only one AFL-listed player residing in the back-line. That leaves it up to the youngsters - led by co-captain Ryley Stoddart and the impressive Stefan Radovanovic - to hold up the back half.

The rest of the line-up remains unchanged, as the Blues will be looking to recover from last week's one-point loss at the hands of Southport.
