IF YOU entered the doors of IKON Park, you’d be forgiven for asking whether young guns Georgia Gee and Maddy Prespakis were ever spotted apart.

Now known affectionately around the Club as 'Velcro', the talented pair are joined at the hip.

The nickname was first coined by skipper Kerryn Harrington and much like the relationship between the duo, it has stuck.

“She wasn’t happy with us always being in the same group because we mucked around a little too much," Gee explained.

“We’d get up to no good.”

The relationship dates back to their days in the Under 18s where they began as opponents, with Gee lining up for the Dandenong Stingrays and Prespakis the Calder Cannons.

The pair then united through Academy and representative sides and have been inseparable since.

Gee had an inkling that Prespakis would join her at the Blues, 12 months after she arrived at IKON Park herself.

“I knew it was between her or my other best mate, Tyla Hanks.”

Either way was a win for Gee, but she couldn’t have been happier to be joined by Prespakis as a Game Changer.

Since that day, the pair have gone from strength to strength with their chemistry off field highlighted on it – named Carlton’s two representatives in the most recent 22under22 side.

And the best way to solidify any relationship? Matching tattoos, of course.

With the word inked on their feet, it’s safe to say that Velcro isn’t going anywhere.
