CARLTON defender Sam Durdin is expected to be sidelined for the next month with a medial ligament injury.

Durdin left the field during the fourth quarter of Thursday night’s game against Richmond and was unable to play out the game.

He underwent scans on Friday morning which confirmed the injury, which at this stage will likely rule the key defender out until approximately Round 19.

Jack Martin was subbed out of the game in the fourth quarter with calf tightness. At this stage he is expected to be a test to play next Saturday’s game against Fremantle.
