ROUND 21 will be the latest instalment of the ‘Back our ‘Baggers’ game for the Blues, thanks to Co-Major partner Hyundai.

Some fans might remember past years - starting in 2020 - when Carlton players have run out with a member’s name on the back of their guernsey, with the tradition returning this year, but with a new twist.

Hyundai, partners of both Carlton and the Brisbane Lions, will have both sides running out with their respective member names on the back of their jumpers to acknowledge all the support from their membership base.

Members had the chance to enter the competition to see their name on the back of the Navy Blue guernsey, with winners also receiving the guernsey post-game as well as a message from the player who wore it.

The major prize of the competition were two Hyundai Konas, which were respectively won by a Bluebagger and also a Lions fan in recent days.
Speaking alongside on-field opponent and off-field Lachie Neale at the Gabba on Friday, Carlton captain Patrick Cripps has loved the way that the Blues faithful have turned up in droves this season and thanked them for their ongoing support in 2022 and beyond.

“I think we’ve played in front of some passionate fans this year and they’ve been up and about,” Cripps said.

“The support they give to the Club has been huge and especially over the last few years with Covid, especially back in Melbourne, they stuck fat and helped the Club through some pretty tough times.

“This is a small way to give back with 23 guys out there with the members' names on their back and it should be a great game.”
