FOR OUR annual AFL Carlton Respects game in Round 19, a special pre-game moment will take place to honour lives lost, with lights on the ground to represent all the women who lost their lives in 2024.

On average, one woman every four days is killed by violence, with two in five women having experienced physical violence from the age of 15, with the Carlton Respects initiative aiming to promote gender equality and a brighter future free from violence.

Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 7:00pm and join the Club for their annual moment of pause, with lights in the middle of the ground to represent all 78 women who lost their lives to violence in 2024, and lights around the ground to represent the hundreds of women and children before them, as well as the thousands of people impacted by their loss.
