THE CARLTON College of Sport is thrilled to announce that Blues midfielder and 2020 AFL Women’s Best and Fairest Madison Prespakis will join the College as a coach for its new Football Development Program.

Prespakis joins the Football Development team as the Carlton College of Sport and Academy Pathways Assistant Coach.

The third-year Blue will have a key role in developing talent in both the Carlton College Football Development Program as well as the Carlton Next Generation Academy. In particular, she will be an important role model for female athletes across both programs.

Carlton College of Sport and Academies Pathway Coach Torin Baker said players in the program would gain invaluable experience on a daily basis learning from the best women’s footballer in the country.

“Maddy has a great feel for the game and a strong interest in coaching and working with young people. She is motivated and committed to grow inside and outside of the game and it’s these qualities which we feel will be really beneficial for the players at both the Carlton College and in the NGA,” Baker said.

“She has had a huge impact in AFLW in a short period of time and her appointment continues to strengthen ties between the Club’s programs.”

Applications for the Football Development Program are still open! Submit your application here before Wednesday 17 February for your chance to join this exclusive program in 2021.
