AFL debut: Round 5, 2013
Carlton debut:
Recruited from: Greater Western Sydney
Brownlow votes: 14

The boyhood Bluebagger arrived at the club he supported since birth after 113 games for Greater Western Sydney. Known in the football world for his rebound and ball use from the back half, it appears as though Williams will be back as an inside midfielder at Carlton, adding explosive pace to their on-ball set-up. Taking on the No.6 guernsey of club stalwart Kade Simpson, Williams has proven his wares as a midfielder in the past, with arguably his finest performance coming in a match-winning display against Collingwood in the 2019 preliminary final. There’ll be plenty of eyeballs on what Williams can produce for his new club in 2021.

Draft history: 2013 NAB AFL Rookie Draft (GWS) No.54 overall.

AFL Awards
NAB AFL Rising Star nominee: 2013
AFLPA 22under22 team: 2016

Defender Zac Williams will be looking to make an impact in 2024 after missing the entire 2023 season with an ACL injury.

A boyhood Bluebagger, Williams made the move to IKON Park from the Giants at the end of 2020, having played 113 games - including a grand final - for Greater Western Sydney.

Having played 23 games in the Navy Blue, Williams will be looking to make his impact felt at Carlton - especially with his dash across half back - getting a clean run at some game time and consistency on field.
