Joining fellow former Adelaide Lightning basketballers in Kerryn Peterson and Jess Good, it all happened very quickly for Taylor Ortlepp in her debut campaign of season seven.
A former Australian representative in the U17 World Championships, Ortlepp’s first football season saw her debut after overcoming a finger injury, earning her senior nod in Round 6 as an inside midfielder where she was handed her guernsey by captain Peterson.
She would hold her spot for the second half of the season, enjoying her first win in game two before slotting a memorable maiden goal the very next week. Given how quickly things have progressed, Ortlepp will be keen to take her game to the next level in 2023.
