Ring of Honour: Trevor Keogh

Carlton’s dual premiership player Trevor Keogh will ring the historic old Blue bell at the top of Carlton’s race 15 minutes prior to the first bounce, before being inducted into the Carlton Ring of Honour on Saturday afternoon.

Keogh played 208 games for Carlton and kicked 191 goals during his football career that spanned 12 years. After making his debut in Round 4 1970 v North Melbourne, Keogh won two premierships (1972, 1979) and was awarded the Club’s best and fairest in 1976 and 1978. He was also named in Carlton’s Team of the Century in 2000.

Community Champion:

The Club’s ‘Community Champion’ for Round 10 is Vieli Choka. Through her work as a refugee resettlement worker in Whittlesea, Choka is a champion for cultural inclusion and has gone over and above to connect refugees with Australian culture to help remove social isolation.

Through a new club initiative, Carlton will acknowledge one of its supporters at every home game this season, recognising their work in gender equality, cultural inclusion or developing grassroots football in the community. All of these fields play a vital role in educating, growing and providing better experiences in our local community.
