Northern Blues coach Josh Fraser reviews the performances of the 15 Carlton-listed players who played in the 44-point loss to Richmond at Ikon Park:

60. David Cuningham
Stats: 18 disposals, 6 marks, 6 tackles, 1 goal
From the coach: He was lively around the contest and showed some good running patterns both offensively and defensively, while he also had some really important tackle efforts.

33. Andrejs Everitt
Stats: 12 disposals, 6 marks, 5 goals
From the coach: His offensive running was a highlight of the game, which allowed him to kick five and have a big impact by way of scoreboard pressure. He continues to work hard on some defensive areas of his game.

31. Jayden Foster
Stats: 15 disposals, 7 marks
From the coach: He had some good moments where he positioned himself well and impacted the high ball: however, he lacked consistency and probably fell away as game went on.

34. Jesse Glass-McCasker
Stats: 10 disposals, 4 marks
From the coach: It was a similar case for Jesse, who took some good and important intercept marks early. However, under the weight of inside 50s coming our way he fell away from his positioning and his ability to halve contests.

38. Billy Gowers
Stats: 16 disposals, 10 handball receives, 1 goal
From the coach: He gave us some encouraging flashes offensively from the back half, where he kicked a nice goal from outside 50 early in the game. But he was too inconsistent with defensive positioning and his ability to defend the turnover.

48. Kristian Jaksch
Stats: 18 disposals, 7 marks, 6 handball receives, 1 goal
From the coach: ‘KJ’ wasn’t consistent enough with his decision-making on high ball but he positioned himself well as defender for most of the day. He just needs to have more impact in aerial contests.

14. Liam Jones
Stats: 12 disposals, 8 marks (5 contested, 4 inside 50), 1 goal
From the coach: He worked really hard to provide a marking option all day despite often being out-numbered. He hit up at the ball and was our long target, and showed some good repeat efforts at ground level.

80. Matthew Korcheck
Stats: 4 disposals, 16 hitouts, 1 goal
From the coach: He broke even in the ruck and drew a free kick on goal - however, given the improvement we’ve seen in his game, we’d like to see him produce more impact on the game.

51. Jed Lamb
Stats: 10 disposals, 5 handball receives, 1 goal
From the coach: He had patches where he had really good impact coming up the ground as a forward and getting back towards 50. However, he couldn’t string four quarters together and had some poor tackling efforts which affected his impact on the game.

19. Harry McKay
Stats: 2 disposals
From the coach: He only played 15 minutes where he looked to be moving well and had some good contests as a marking forward. However, he had an injury complaint early and the decision was made not to bring him back on the ground.

67. Clem Smith
Stats: 5 disposals
From the coach: He had a really good effort on a 1v3 ground ball where he halved the contest, but he loses his method at times with his tackle and chase pressure. He worked hard to get back inside 50 but wasn’t rewarded by way of scoreboard pressure.

76. Jason Tutt
Stats: 26 disposals, 4 inside 50s, 5 tackles
From the coach: ‘Tutty’ showed some really aggressive running offensively, but had some poor tackling attempts mixed with some really good ones. He has some specific areas he’s working hard on and was solid over four quarters.

65. Dillon Viojo-Rainbow
Stats: 12 disposals, 4 hard-ball gets
From the coach: Again he showed some flashes in the game but needs to put it together for longer. Some of his effort in the contest needs to improve, and he needs to be consistent when it comes to winning or halving the contest.

42. Mark Whiley
Stats: 27 disposals, 7 marks, 5 clearances, 5 tackles
From the coach: Terrific around stoppages, with his hunt for the footy, his tackling pressure and ability to win first possession the standout. He continues to work hard on different parts of his game, but when he plays to his strengths he’s a really dangerous player for us.

36. Cameron Wood
Stats: 7 disposals, 19 hitouts
From the coach: He broke even in the ruck alongside Korcheck but missed a few opportunities to spoil from behind and was out-marked. He showed some pleasing signs of good follow-up work and aggression in the contest, but we still think he can provide a bigger impact.
