Carlton youngster Marcus Davies took some time out of his hectic training schedule to sit down with carltonfc.com.au and answer a few questions.

What were your first impressions of Flagstaff?

It's really cold! Someone told me earlier that it dropped to -13 this morning! That said, it's a pretty town and the people are really nice, so it's been great to see another part of the world.

How do the Northern Arizona University facilities compare to VISY Park?

We used their gym today, which was really good, had a swim and also did our skills session in their Skydome, where we watched a football game on Saturday. I think it's fair to say that VISY Park stacks up pretty well. It's a pretty big campus, so I've only seen a small bit of it so far, but from what I've seen, it's very impressive.

What is the food and coffee like compared to Australia?

I haven't had a coffee yet, but I have had a chilli hot chocolate, which was really good!

What are you most looking forward to whilst over here?

I'm looking forward to both hikes. Although it's going to be tough, I'm really looking forward to the challenge.

What are you dreading most about the next fortnight?

Definitely the cold weather!

Who is your roommate? Have you roomed together before?

I'm rooming with Matthew Kreuzer and Marc Murphy. I normally room with big Andrew McInnes so it's nice to change things up.

How are you coping with the cold/training at altitude?

Pretty well so far. We've just got to make sure that we get as much sleep as possible. You can certainly notice the difference.

Tell us about the football game you went to.

It was an amazing game between the NAU Lumberjacks and the Southern Utah Thunderbirds. The Thunderbirds were on top in the first hap, but the "Jacks" made a huge comeback in the final quarter! The game went into overtime three times, but unfortunately, the Lumberjacks couldn't hold on. Still, it was a fantastic experience.
