Fierce contests, tear-jerking moments and former glories were relived at Carlton on Tuesday.

Amid smoke, lights and relentless rain, Carlton launched the Ghosts of Princes Park tour.

Hosted by historian Tony De Bolfo, the tour recounted some of the great on-field moments of yesteryear, as well as some of the legendary stories shared in the stands and behind-the-scenes.

A number of well-known Carlton identities turned out for the launch, including television and radio presenter Sam Pang, 3AW personalities Tony Tardio and Tom Elliott, Melbourne Heart players Massimo Murdocca and Aziz Behich, and Carlton’s own Dylan Buckley and Nick Graham.

Emergency gumboots, footy ponchos and umbrellas protected guests from the inclement weather, as they were guided through the history of the ground.

Guests were also given the chance to explore the Club’s inner sanctum, with a journey into the player’s training facilities and locker room.

The tour is set to become a regular event at Visy Park.

Details on dates and tickets will be announced soon!
