The partnership between Carlton and Nike is set to continue, after Nike signed on with the Blues for a further six seasons, until 2019.

Nike Pacific GM Andrew Poole says it's terrific news for both brands.

“Nike has been a proud partner of the Carlton Football Club for almost 15 years, and over this time we have worked closely to deliver new product innovations that have enabled players to perform at their peak on the field,” Poole said.

“We are excited to continue this partnership, extending our sponsorship of Carlton for a further six years from the 2014 season kick off.”

Carlton CEO Greg Swann says the move will take the Blues’ relationship with Nike to more than 20 years.

“We’re delighted that Nike have seen fit to extend with us,” Swann said.

“We continue to relentlessly strive to be the most innovative AFL football club, and Nike is the perfect partner to deliver on-field innovation.

“It’s the bringing together of two iconic brands and we couldn’t be happier with the existing, and future, relationship that we have.”

The announcement coincides with the unveiling of Carlton's 150th commemorative guernsey, which will be worn in Rounds 7, 13 and 23.
