Fantasy coaches across the country will be in overdrive analysing stats and numbers, as they finalise their teams ahead of the season opener tomorrow night.
One of those coaches is Carlton skipper Marc Murphy, who has set up his team ‘Murph and his Men’ in this year’s Fantasy competition.
Naming himself as captain, ‘Murph’ has selected six of his fellow teammates in his side including Patrick Cripps, Nick Graham, Dale Thomas, Jacob Weitering, Sam Docherty and Sam Kerridge.
Fantasy favourite Sam Kerridge has proven he can rack up possessions, averaging 96.5 points in his two NAB Challenge hit-outs, and at $299,000 the dual-position player is exceptional value.
Youngsters Docherty, Cripps, Graham and Weitering have also posted reliable scores during the pre-season competition and look set to increase in price as the season gets underway.
Murph has also selected Suns ball magnet Gary Ablett, while a few Crows also feature including Rory Laird, Brad Crouch, ruckman Sam Jacobs and young small forward Wayne Milera.
