BLUEBAGGERS, it’s time to get voting!

Carlton forward Charlie Curnow and midfielder Zac Fisher have been named in this year’s AFL Players’ 22under22 squad.

Selected by the AFLPA Board for their outstanding performances throughout the season, the squad acknowledges the most talented youngsters in the league.

To be eligible for selection, players must be aged 22 years and under for the entirety of the season, including the finals series.

Now in its sixth year, 22under22 is the industry’s only recognised fan-voted award and provides the footy public with the authority to select the final team – so the duo needs your vote!

This is the second consecutive year Curnow has been named in the squad, after having a breakout season and receiving a Rising Star nomination in 2017.

In 2018, the youngest Curnow has continued to add special moments to his highlights reel, including a high-flying Mark of the Year nomination against Collingwood in Round 14. Having played 17 games this year, he’s currently ranked No.1 at the Club for contested marks and has kicked 32 goals so far this season, including a bag of five against Richmond in Round 1 and four against Port in Round 15.

Averaging nearly 20 disposals and eight contested possessions per game, Fisher’s trademark run and dash has been on show again this season. In Round 6 against the Bulldogs the left-footer racked up 28 touches, seven clearances, five tackles and kicked a goal.

After playing 17 games, his season was unfortunately cut short through injury.
