Carlton Media picks its top-five player stats from the Blues' thrilling one-point win over GWS:

Matthew Kreuzer
Game-high 12 contested possessions

Take a bow, Matthew Kreuzer. In yet another complete performance, the Blues' big man shone in his 150th to get the better of Giants ruckman Shane Mumford. His ability to double-up as a midfielder saw him win an equal game-high 12 contested possessions. The most memorable? Without a doubt, a desperate kick off the ground which landed on the chest of Dale Thomas and resulted in a goal.

Sam Docherty
Game-high 816m gained

Sam Docherty was averaging 510m gained a game this season before Sunday, but took that figure to a whole new level against GWS. His game-high 816m gained was simply staggering, with no other player exceeding 550m. The 23-year-old was clearly the most effective player on the ground for moving the ball forward.

Liam Jones
Game-high 4 intercept marks

In his new role as a defender, Liam Jones set the tone early and never looked back. His aggression and ability to read the play were highlights, finishing with a game-high four intercept mark and 14 spoils. He also topped the Blues for disposal efficiency, going at 93 percent. A match-up with Suns star Tom Lynch awaits on Saturday night.

Dale Thomas
Team-high 9 score involvements

The Blues had 21 scoring chains on Sunday, with Dale Thomas having a contribution in nine of them. The 29-year-old found space and put himself in dangerous positions time and time again.

Zac Fisher
Team-high 22 pressure acts

Zac Fisher's efforts would have earned high praise from his coaches. Despite being the shortest and lightest player on the ground, Fisher made his presence felt to finish with a team-high 22 pressure acts, while also kicking what proved to be the match-winning point.
