Little Carlton Humbles sure knows how to make an entrance.

The tiny tot, who turns four on Friday, was appropriately born on Carlton’s Family Day back in 2012, and it only took his father Jason a matter of hours to make him an official Bluebagger.

“Straight after he was born we named him Carlton, and he was a member within three hours of being born,” Jason said.

“I went down to Family Day and signed him up, he had his membership before he had his birth certificate.”

When it came to naming little Carlton, Jason’s partner Leanne didn’t have much say.

“She kind of had no choice in it,” he laughed.

“When he was born I told her the named I picked, Carlton, and she said ‘no I don’t think so’, and then she gave me her list.

“I disposed of that pretty quickly and insisted we call him Carlton.”

Jason’s love of Carlton (the Club!) stemmed from his father, who always supported the Old Dark Navy Blues.

“I’ve been a member for 10 years now,” he said.

“My dad barracked for Carlton, so I’ve been following the Blues ever since I was a kid – supporting this great club is all I’ve ever known.”

Now, all these year later, Jason’s children are all Bound By Blue.

Not only is the inside of Jason’s house decked out in navy blue, but he’s also got a handmade, one-of-a-kind Carlton sign attached to the outside of his house.

The one-of-a-kind Carlton sign outside the Humbles' house.

“I’ve got Carlton glasses, scarves, balls, a signed Juddy jumper and an Andrew Walker framed print of his ‘Sky Walker’ mark,” Jason said.

“My nextdoor neighbor made me a sign for the front of my house and I put all the blue lights behind it, a lot of people come down the street and have a look at it at night.

“It’s been up for about three years now.”

Being a Blues supporter means “everything” to Jason, who revolves his life around game day.

“It really does mean everything,” he said.

“I can’t not watch a game, even if I’m meant to be playing baseball I’ll stay home and watch the game instead – I just love it.”
