The Blues have made two changes with Andrew Carrazzo and Andrew Walker coming into the side, while Brock McLean and Kane Lucas have been omitted.
Walker returns after serving a one-match suspension, while Carrazzo is set to play his first match for 2014 after overcoming a calf injury.
Essendon got the better of Carlton in their two encounters last season, but Marc Murphy's men are ready to turn the tables this weekend.
