There's set to be some tough competition for spots at Carlton this week, with eight senior Blues in contention to return to the side for Saturday's clash with Greater Western Sydney at Etihad Stadium.
Andrew Carrazzo (leg), Lachie Henderson (hamstring), Michael Jamison (calf), Kade Simpson (calf) and Simon White (knee) are all set to be tested at training this week and could return from injury.
Meanwhile Matthew Kreuzer made his long-awaited return from injury with the Northern Blues on Sunday – the match committee will have to decide if he's had enough game time for a possible senior recall.
Troy Menzel, who has recovered from a calf injury, also ran out for the Northern Blues, while Chris Yarran is available for selection after completing his suspension.
Regardless of whether the players line up for Carlton or the Northern Blues this weekend, they will all have the chance to have a run at Etihad Stadium, with the Northern Blues set to play in a VFL curtain raiser against North Ballarat ahead of Carlton's game.
The double-header kicks off at 1.15pm, with Carlton v GWS set to get underway at 4.35pm.
