Some swift footwork from Eddie Betts has seen the Carlton forward land himself a nomination for the AFL's Goal of the Year.

Betts has been nominated for his goal from the boundary line, in the third quarter of Carlton's Round 23 clash with Port Adelaide.

After a kick from Rob Warnock bounces across the face of the goal, Betts gathers the ball, dodges Port's Cameron O'Shea, escapes a tackle and then snaps from a awkward angle.
