Carlton players in Arizona have swapped snow for sunshine – heading to Phoenix for a day of training.

Players put a solid session at the Grand Canyon University, using the facilities for skills, running and weights sessions.

Mitch Robinson says it was nice to be back on the turf.

"It was good to train on the deck where it wasn't snowing," Robinson said.

"It's been pretty testing up here; we've got about a week and a bit to go but we can definitely feel it already.

"We're feeling pretty fit at the moment and we’re getting through.”

The team finished the day by watching the Cardinals take on the Rams in the NFL, before a two-and-a-half hour bus ride back to their base in Flagstaff.
