Carlton could regain Matthew Kreuzer and Jeff Garlett for Saturday's crucial clash with Essendon at the MCG.
Kreuzer has missed two games with an injured calf, while Garlett has spent a week on the sidelines with a corked glute.
Both players will be tested at training this week.
Meanwhile in the VFL, Jeremy Laidler is a chance to return for the Northern Blues.
Laidler has been out of action for a month with an ankle injury, but has been back running at training this week.
And the news not so good for Andrew Collins – he hurt his quad playing in the VFL and will miss this weekend's clash with Williamstown.
