Carlton Rising Star nominee Dylan Buckley has suffered an injury blow.

Buckley is set to be sidelined for six weeks after injuring his hand playing in the VFL on the weekend.

The Blues are unlikely to regain any players from injury this week, with Ed Curnow (leg) and David Ellard (calf) still another week away.

But Chris Judd looks set to return to Carlton’s senior side for his second AFL match this season, following a rare stint in the VFL on Saturday.

Carlton’s Football Operations Manager Andrew McKay says Judd had a terrific build-up to the VFL game and is ready to return to football at the senior level.

"Most people who saw him play would agree he was a little bit musty, but was certainly better for the run,” McKay said.

“Chris was able to get through the game which was great – that was all we needed him to do – so he will be available for selection.”

Meanwhile defender Michael Jamison is in doubt for Friday’s clash with Hawthorn after hurting his shoulder against the Cats.
