Carlton could regain vice-captain Andrew Carrazzo for Thursday night’s clash with Fremantle at Patersons Stadium.

Carrazzo suffered a quad injury in Round 16 against the Saints.

Carlton’s Football Operations Manager Andrew McKay says Carrazzo is a good chance to make the trip to Perth.

“Obviously Andrew’s had a pretty interrupted season with injury, but he’s looking very likely to play,” McKay said.

“He’s obviously been out for the past few weeks with that quad strain, but he’s been training well the last couple of weeks.”

The Blues will be without Andrejs Everitt who suffered a knee injury in the win over North Melbourne, while Troy Menzel is in doubt after hurting his knee in the same match.

Another close to a return is ruckman Matthew Kreuzer – McKay says the big man is training well after missing most of the season following foot surgery.

“Matthew’s going really well – we said it would be right at the back end of the season and that’s looking like it’s panning out to perfection,” McKay said.

“He’ll play a couple of games for the Northern Blues in a couple of weeks, but he’s still a couple of weeks away.”

Meanwhile Jaryd Cachia is out for the rest of the season and will undergo shoulder surgery, after dislocating his shoulder twice within a fortnight.
