Carlton player Simon White has fronted the Melbourne Magistrate’s Court today in relation to an incident on May 14 last year.

In November White was placed on a diversion program and following today’s proceedings the court has directed him to continue on that program, as well as make a donation of $1600 to the Royal Children’s Hospital.

Carlton has sanctioned White a further $1600, which will also be donated to the RCH.

White says he is looking forward to putting the matter behind him.

“While I regret that the incident occurred, I have definitely learned from it and I thank the court for allowing me to continue on my diversion program,” he said.

“I am glad that this is finally over so that I can focus on my future.”

Simon kept Carlton fully informed throughout the whole investigation, along with Club continually briefing the AFL’s integrity unit.

As this legal matter has now concluded the Club will be making no further comment.
