Lord Mayor Robert Doyle took a walk with Carlton players around Ikon Park this week.

While the avid Geelong supporter said he has no plans to switch teams, he was keen to meet with Troy Menzel and Cameron Wood to help raise awareness of the Royal Melbourne Hospital's Royal Walk & Fun Run.

The Royal Walk & Fun Run is being held at Princes Park on Sunday 29 March to raise money for the hospital.

This year organisers are aiming to raise $100,000, which will go towards the hospital's most urgent needs.

Participants can either walk or run 4.5km or 9km around Princes Park plus they'll receive a free t-shirt.

There will also be a free BBQ after the event with DJs and prizes for the top fundraisers.

Entry is open to all ages – you can also bring your pet!

The Carlton Football Club is proud to being throwing its support behind this great community event to assist our good friends at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
