Carlton regains a host of key players for the NAB Challenge game against Collingwood in Bendigo on Sunday.

Vice-captains Bryce Gibbs and Michael Jamison come into the side, along with Lachie Henderson, Andrew Carrazzo and Chris Judd.

First-year players Blaine Boekhorst and Clem Smith retain their place in the squad, along with fellow newcomers Matthew Dick, Kristian Jaksch and Jason Tutt.

But skipper Marc Murphy will miss the clash as he continues to recover from a calf strain suffered in an intra-club match last month.

Mick Malthouse returns to the coaches' box and director of development and coaching Rob Wiley says it's great to have him back.

"I thought he was ready to take over," Wiley joked.

On the match, Wiley said it's another opportunity to implement the processes the team has been practicing over the pre-season.

"The boys are keen to do well," he said.

"We were probably a bit disappointed in our first performance but we're really looking forward to the challenge – Collingwood are a great side and they're going to give us great match practice."

The match kicks off at Queen Elizabeth Oval on Sunday at 4.40pm EDT.
