Northern Blues coach Josh Fraser reviews the performances of every Carlton-listed player from the win over Coburg:

49. Dennis Armfield
Stats: 14 disposals, 5 marks (3 inside 50), 2 goals
From the coach: Dennis applied some pressure in our forward half while spending time on the wing, and he also showed good composure in front of goal. Once again, he displayed tremendous leadership for our younger players..

62. Blaine Boekhorst
Stats: 27 disposals, 7 marks, 11 handball receives, 4 inside 50s, 1 goal
From the coach: He ran and endured all day, both off a wing and spending time up forward. He’s had much more game involvement with his possession and work-rate in recent weeks and continues working on areas of his game.

7. Dylan Buckley
Stats: 16 disposals, 5 marks, 5 handball receives, 1 goal
From the coach: ‘Bucks’ defended his man really well as part of our six. He’s still building consistency with his method in one-on-one contests, but offensively he was a weapon for us with his run and carry.

60. David Cuningham
Stats: 14 disposals, 4 tackles, 3 inside 50s, 1 goal
From the coach: His impact was down this week as we’ve been used to. He used his legs around stoppages but wasn’t as consistent over four quarters. Pleasingly, he finished in front of goal and looks to keep building both as a midfielder and forward.

56. Andrew Gallucci
Stats: 7 disposals, 3 inside 50s, 3 tackles, 3 goals
From the coach: Three goals for small forward is a good return. We’d like him to have more impact on the game but we can see how hard he is working on providing pressure and working up the ground. I thought in the end he had a good impact.

48. Kristian Jaksch
Stats: 17 disposals, 9 marks, 3 inside 50s, 1 goal
From the coach: We used 'KJ' at both ends in key position posts. He had some really good one-on-one contests where he showed his contested marking and halved contests. He hit the scoreboard and had an impact at both ends.

14. Liam Jones
Stats: 16 disposals, 9 marks (5 contested), 5 tackles, 2 goals
From the coach: A tremendous game again, playing in a number of rules through the ruck, as a defender and also up forward. His contested work and his pressure was terrific, while his leadership from the front was really important.

31. Patrick Kerr
Stats: 15 disposals, 11 marks (6 inside 50), 3 goals
From the coach: It was a good game from Patty. He presented well at the leg, showed a good change of pace to provide an option, showed clean hands and finished well in front of goal.

72. Sam Kerridge
Stats: 30 disposals, 10 marks, 10 handball receives, 2 goals
From the coach: Workmanlike again, racked up the ball and used it well. Working hard on different aspects of his game but he continues to perform well.

19. Harry McKay
Stats: 10 disposals, 7 marks (3 inside 50), 2 goals
From the coach: 'H;' is continuing to show really encouraging signs, with the message being to put it together for four quarters. He’s launching for aerial balls and finishing in front of goal. He’s showing all the signs we want him to show.

24. Rhys Palmer
Stats: 12 disposals, 4 handball receives, 3 inside 50s
From the coach: Rhys was on restricted game-time but it was great to have him back. He worked hard inside and found a fair bit of the ball on the spread. He’ll keep building as he continues his return.

15. Andrew Phillips
Stats: 12 disposals, 4 tackles, 41 hitouts, 1 goal
From the coach: I thought he was really good. He gave our midfielders first use and battled hard. He also got forward and kicked a goal. He’s another player who is working very hard and he was important for us.

42. Jarrod Pickett
Stats: 9 disposals, 4 inside 50s, 3 handball receives
From the coach: Jarrod probably didn’t have the impact we were looking for in what can be a challenging role. He got his running game going but didn’t have the same impact with ball in hand. We know he’s a really exciting talent and he will respond.

67. Cameron Polson
Stats: 10 disposals, 3 inside 50s, 3 handball receives
From the coach: His impact was down: he didn’t have the same run as he has had in previous games at VFL level. All things considered, we know he’s a young player with a huge amount of upside and someone we're really excited by.

45. Dale Thomas
Stats: 30 disposals, 13 marks (4 contested), 6 clearances, 5 goal assists, 1 goal
From the coach: We thought he put together a really solid game for us. Overriding everything, his influence on the group with his leadership was first-class, as was his ability to use the ball throughout the game.
