Carlton has made two changes for its Sir Doug Nicholls Indigenous Round match against North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Speedy forward Liam Sumner will play his first game of the season, while first-year player Harrison Macreadie has earned a recall after consistent performances in defence for the Northern Blues.

The duo replaces injured pair Dale Thomas and Sam Rowe - the latter ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering an ACL rupture in the Blues' loss to Fremantle on Sunday.

Carlton's players will run out in the Club's 2017 Indigenous Guernsey, which honours Blues champion and Indigenous great Syd Jackson.

The match will carry extra significance for Carlton's Indigenous young gun Samo Petrevski-Seton, who will proudly wear the No.5 made famous by Jackson.

The Blues will celebrate this special round with a pre-game ceremony and festivities.
