Carlton Football Club has made changes to its list today, with five players moving on from the Blues.

Kristian Jaksch, Liam Sumner and Andrew Gallucci have been informed their contracts will not be renewed, while Daniel Gorringe and Matthew Korcheck have called time on their playing careers.

Head of Football Andrew McKay thanked the players for their service.

“I would like to thank Kristian, Liam and Andrew for their contribution over their time with us. All three players have shown growth and development during their time at the Club,” McKay said.

“Matthew will return home to the United States, and we acknowledge his commitment to the Club over the last two years. We commend his dedication in moving from the other side of the world to try his hand at AFL football.

“Unfortunately, Daniel had a frustrating run with injuries over the past couple of seasons and we totally understand his decision to step away from football at the highest level.

“We wish all five players the very best for their future endeavours.”

Sumner has been invited to train with the playing group at the start of the pre-season with the potential to be listed by the Club later this year.

The list changes follow the recent retirement of Blues veteran Dennis Armfield, who hung up his boots last week after 10 seasons at Carlton.
