Carlton Football Club wishes to thank AFLW assistant coach Scott Gowans for his services to the program, with Gowans to depart Ikon Park.

Gowans was appointed to the Blues in September 2016 having been the senior coach of the AFL Victoria Country Youth Girls team, as well as senior coach for Longwarry.

AFLW senior coach Damien Keeping acknowledged Gowans’ contribution to the Blues’ women’s program over the past year.

“Scott was a key member of our coaching panel since its inception and we are grateful for his efforts in investing in our program,” Keeping said.

“We wish Scott and his family well for their future endeavours.”

The Club will appoint a replacement AFLW assistant coach in the coming weeks.
