SIR DOUG NICHOLLS ROUND

Named in honour of Sir Doug Nicholls, this weekend marks the AFL’s annual round to recognise and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players and their culture.

Now in its 12th year, the round focusses on the relationship between the game and Indigenous Australia by connecting AFL fans to the culture of our first people. Sir Doug Nicholls Round also celebrates the incredible impact Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players have made on our game.

2018 INDIGENOUS GUERNSEY

To celebrate Sir Doug Nicholls Round, Carlton will wear its 2018 Indigenous guernsey against Sydney on Friday night. With an emphasis on country, connection, community and club, this year’s jumper has been designed by local Indigenous artist Lyn-Al Young.
