WHO will be crowned the 2018 John Nicholls Medallist?

Carlton’s night of nights will take place on Friday night, with the Club’s newest best and fairest to be announced.

The winner will have the chance to join names such as Bradley, Doull, Jesaulenko, Johnston, Judd, Nicholls, Silvagni, Southby and Williams as a recipient of the award.

Patrick Cripps is expected to poll heavily in a year in where he was All Australian, as is Kade Simpson after yet another consistent season. The pair will look to become dual winners, after triumphs in 2015 and 2013 respectively.

Taking place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre’s Plenary Room, the John Nicholls Medal won’t be the only award up for grabs.

The Club’s highest individual honour, the John Nicholls Medal is awarded to the best and fairest player over the course of the season.

Best Clubman

The player who lives Carlton’s values and goes above and beyond for his teammates and club will be crowned Best Clubman.

Virgin Australia Best First Year Player

Presented by Virgin Australia, this is awarded to the Club’s most outstanding first-year player.

Spirit of Carlton Award

The Spirit of Carlton Award is awarded to the player who embodies the spirit of the Carlton Football Club on and off the field.

Inner Blue Ruthless Award

Presented by Virgin Australia, the Inner Blue Ruthless Award is awarded to the player who displays bravery, resilience and commitment each week.

William A. Cook Trophy

Over the course of the season, members of the Carltonians vote on a 3-2-1 basis. The player with the most votes at the end of the year is awarded the William A. Cook Trophy.
