Carlton will be out to secure its second win of the season on Saturday when the Blues take on Greater Western Sydney at Etihad Stadium.

The Blues have made seven changes and regain four experienced players including Simon White, Chris Yarran, Troy Menzel and Andrew Carrazzo. In contrast, the Giants will go into the match with an unchanged line-up – the first time in the club's history it has made no changes.

In the lead-up to the match, Carlton coach Michael Malthouse told Adelaide radio station FIVEaa that he will continue to change the team until he finds a “winning combination”.

“My match committee will fight every game to get the best out of our blokes and we’ll pick the best possible side to represent the Carlton Football Club's members and supporters,” Malthouse said.

Carlton has battled the Giants on three previous occasions and the Blues narrowly hold the ledger two wins to one, but the last time these two sides met, GWS beat the Blues by eight points, 15.10.100 to 14.8.92.

In that match in Round 14 last year, Giants midfielder Stephen Coniglio and co-captain Callan Ward starred, racking up 29 disposals each, while Carlton's Bryce Gibbs had 28 possessions and kicked a goal.

After six rounds of the 2015 season, GWS sits in sixth position on the ladder with four wins and two losses. Last weekend was undoubtedly one of the Giants' greatest wins of all time, downing reigning premier Hawthorn by 10 points with forward Jeremy Cameron bagging seven goals. Carlton's defenders will have their work cut out to keep Cameron quiet this week.

After beating the Hawks, Giants co-captain Phil Davis said there was no chance of a “let down” this weekend as his team is focused on playing consistently good football.

"The boys here are so hungry, and we understand that to be a good team we've got to play well week-in, week-out," Davis said.

Meanwhile Davis believes Carlton leaders Marc Murphy and Bryce Gibbs will be fired up this week after a quiet final quarter in the Blues' loss to Brisbane.

"They're both proud players and very good players. They're both best and fairest winners, so they'll come out firing," Davis said.

"They're a very, very, talented side, they've got a lot of experience behind them and I expect them to put their best foot forward and really take it to us."
