The stage is set for a massive game this Friday night – so make sure you’ve secured your seat to soak up history in the making.

Two of the biggest rivals in football, Carlton and Collingwood, will battle it out at the MCG.

It’s the Blues’ first Friday night home game for 2015 and there are still tickets available for this blockbuster match.

The 'Heatley End' is back for one last hurrah near the cheer squad at the Punt Road end – a must for all Blues fans.

It will be a historic night with the archenemies going head-to-head for the 250th time. Dating back to the 1800’s, this bitter rivalry has endured for generations and has even flourished in the modern era.

Colleagues at Collingwood, now combatants, Michael Malthouse and Nathan Buckley will go head-to-head in the coaches’ box, while captains Marc Murphy and Scott Pendlebury lead their sides on the field.

You’ve got the chance to be part of history, as Mick Malthouse coaches his 715th game – eclipsing the record previously held by Jock McHale for the most games coached in VFL/AFL history.

Some 88 years ago, when Collingwood’s Jock McHale broke the record, he took it from Carlton’s Jack Worrall – so it seems only fair and fitting that Carlton’s Mick Malthouse should reclaim what’s rightfully ours.

There’s also more than bragging rights at stake. For the sixth year in a row, the Blues and the Pies will be playing for the Richard Pratt Cup. The match raises awareness for prostate cancer and honours the memory of former Blues’ president Richard Pratt, who passed away from the disease in 2009.

So if you’re a Bluebagger, head to the ‘G’ this Friday night and experience the rivalry in all its glory.
