It was a ‘Deadly’ 18th birthday party when Jesse Motlop was drafted to Carlton with pick No.27 in the 2021 AFL Draft.
A day after celebrating his 18th, Motlop made the move to Melbourne, immediately bringing the energy to IKON Park as a small forward with an eye for goal.
The next generation in the Motlop family legacy in the AFL, Jesse - wearing the Navy Blue No.3 guernsey - has had some big moments in Carlton colours.
On the eve of his fifth season, Motlop was unfortunately sidelined with an ACL injury, but didn’t let that stop him from being a constant presence around IKON Park.
