With the countdown to the 2017 NAB AFL National Draft officially underway, the AFL’s second list lodgement deadline closed on Thursday afternoon.

Only the second Delisted Player Free Agency period remains before Carlton heads to the draft with picks 3, 10, 30 and 73.

Since the end of the 2017 home and away season, the Blues have made 13 changes to its primary and rookie lists, welcoming a host of new faces, while also farewelling a number of players.

GWS midfielder Matthew Kennedy, Geelong’s Darcy Lang and the Power’s Matthew Lobbe all made their way to Ikon Park during the trade period, while former North defender Aaron Mullet was secured as a delisted free agent.

Bryce Gibbs departs to his home state of South Australia, with Carlton acquiring two first-round picks from Adelaide during the trade period.

The Club also farewelled retiring champ Dennis Armfield and thanked Blaine Boekhorst, Dylan Buckley, Daniel Gorringe, Kristian Jaksch, Rhys Palmer, Billie Smedts, Liam Sumner, Simon White, Andrew Gallucci, Matthew Korcheck and Ciaran Sheehan for their services.
