Balnba
Balnba is the start of the wet season. It is a good time for finding shellfish in and around the mangroves as they are uncovered by rain.

Dalay
Dalay sees the monsoon start kicking in. Crocs nest and lay eggs throughout the monsoon.

Mayilema
Storms end the wet season and then things start cooling down. This sees dragonflies start to come out. It is heading into the dry season.

Damibila
Damilba is the Larrakia word for barramundi. This time of year the barra have made their way out towards sea from the floodplains.

Dinidjangama
Dinidjangama is heavy dew time. This is the cold time of year. Floodplains are starting to dry up and the water lilies are in bloom.
