HERE we go. 

The team is in for Round 1 of the NAB AFLW 2022 competition and there is a lot to unpack and look forward to.

Five players will pull on the Navy Blue for the first time, while Darcy Vescio and Nicola Stevens will both play their 40th consecutive senior games.

Senior recruits Jess Dal Pos (GWS) and Jess Good (SANFL) will take the field for the Game Changers on Sunday, having settled in well since they've arrived at IKON Park.

Courtney Jones and Paige Trudgeon will lace up for the Blues after developing on the list in previous seasons, while first-round draft pick Annie Lee will take the field after being selected in the 2021 NAB AFLW Draft.

Trudgeon will make her debut in defence in her second year on the list, while Sunday marks a significant moment in the journey of Jones, who enters her third season as a Game Changer with her first senior nod.

AFLW Best and Fairest winner Maddy Prespakis will play her 25th game, in a career which has also yielded two All Australians, two club best and fairests and the 2019 NAB AFLW Rising Star.

Familiar faces Kerryn Harrington, Gab Pound and Mua Laloifi will line up in defence, while Lucy McEvoy, Elise O’Dea and Brooke Walker join Vescio and Stevens for a dangerous forward mix.
