The future of the Carlton Football Club will be on display this Saturday when the Blues run out to take on the Saints in our second JLT Community Series match.

Named in the squad of 29, 2016 draftees Cameron Polson, Tom Williamson and Harrison Macreadie will look to sport their navy blue guernseys for the first time while Dennis Armfield, Blaine Boekhorst, Jed Lamb, Nick Graham and Matthew Korcheck hope to take the field for their first hit-out of 2017.

New Blues Billie Smedts, Caleb Marchbank, Rhys Palmer, Zac Fisher, Jarrod Pickett and Kym Lebois are set to embrace their second opportunity if they are selected in the team’s final 26 on Saturday morning.

With Carlton skipper Marc Murphy to watch the match from the sidelines, Patrick Cripps will captain the side in the company of fellow leaders Dennis Armfield and Ed Curnow.

Marc Murphy, Bryce Gibbs, Kade Simpson, Matthew Kreuzer, Sam Docherty, Levi Casboult, Matthew Wright and Jack Silvagni will all miss the third round of the pre-season competition.

With only a six day turn around between the game against the Saints and our third JLT Series clash, which will be played in Perth, the required game load strategy enacted for Carlton’s experienced heads will see them better prepared for the traditional season opener against the Tigers at the MCG.

Carlton will face St Kilda at Ikon Park on Saturday from 2:05pm. Click here to purchase your tickets.
