AS A football club, there are - on average - 53,015 reasons to be thankful so far in 2022.

With another game played in front of over 40,000 people on Saturday night (with a clear majority being in Navy Blue), Carlton has continued to play in front of sizeable crowds so far this season.

The loyalty and the noise of the Bluebaggers in attendance has been there for all to see in the opening seven rounds, with Carlton currently having the No.1 home attendance average in the League so far.

That tally of 53,015 started with the biggest crowd of Round 1 when the Blues hosted the Tigers, and the Navy Blue faithful hasn’t looked back from there.

Carlton is yet to play in front of a home crowd below 33,000 so far this season: something which only occurred twice in the last two seasons due to Covid restrictions.

It’s been a resounding show of support from a Carlton supporter base connected with the playing group and who have been as passionate as ever — particularly during those close wins at the MCG this season.

And ahead of the Blues’ Round 8 match with the Crows at Marvel Stadium this Sunday, it’s another chance for supporters to head under the roof and get behind a team looking to maintain its unbeaten record in Melbourne so far this season.

By the numbers:

No.1 for average home attendance in the AFL after seven rounds
Average home attendance of 53,015
Three of the top 11 Victorian crowds so far in 2022
No home crowd below 33,000
Five wins from five games in Melbourne this season
Highest crowd of the round in three of four home games
