AS IS tradition in Sir Doug Nicholls Round, Carlton and Sydney will exchange gifts prior to tonight’s Round 10 contest.

Taking place at the coin toss pre-game, the Blues will gift the Swans with a coolamon topped with two boab nuts, as pictured above.

The coolamon - designed by Ricky Baldwin, a Gunai Kurnai man - is a multi-purpose dish used by Indigenous people to carry water, fruits, nuts and other types of bush tucker.

The boat nuts are carved from the Kimberley region which spreads from Timber Creek in the Northern Territory to Broome in Western Australia, and have been supplied by Artlandish Aboriginal Art Gallery.

Captain Patrick Cripps will join youngster Jesse Motlop - from the Larrakia nation - will take part in the gift exchange for the Blues.
