THE CARLTON Football Club will head into the 2022 NAB AFLW Draft with four available positions on its playing list for the upcoming season.

The number of list spots was confirmed today, with Brooke Vernon departing the football club after playing three games in as many seasons for the Game Changers.

General Manager of Women’s Football Brett Munro said an extra list spot in the draft will open the door for additional talent to arrive at IKON Park next Wednesday night.

“We have uncovered some undeniable talent in past drafts including Lucy McEvoy, Keeley Sherar and reigning AFLW Rising Star Mimi Hill in recent seasons, so we are confident we can identify and nurture young talent coming through,” Munro said.

“We have had a positive start to pre-season already with the playing group feeling connected, determined and ready to succeed.

“We look forward to welcoming four new Game Changers at the draft next week and working together to achieve group success.

“We’d also like to thank Brooke for her contributions to the Carlton AFLW program since being drafted in 2019.”
