CARLTON fans are set to be treated to more VFL and VFLW double headers, interstate AFL curtain raisers and plenty of action at IKON Park as the Smithy’s VFL and rebel VFLW fixtures were released today. 

The full fixture for Rounds 1-14 of the VFL and Rounds 1-13 of the VFLW have been finalised, with match-ups confirmed for the remaining eight rounds of the VFL and final round of the VFLW, and venues and timings to be released at a later date.  

The Carlton Reserves will feature in four Friday games across the first 14 rounds, including launching the season against Geelong, a Good Friday clash against North Melbourne at Arden Street Oval and a home game against Richmond in Round 5. 

An AFL curtain raiser has been confirmed for Round 2 against GWS before the AFL sides clash at Giants Stadium later in the afternoon, and in Round 10 against Sydney on the Friday afternoon.  

Other noteworthy games include hosting Brisbane in a semi-final rematch at IKON Park in Round 7, with a trip to Collingwood planned for Round 19. 

On top of trips to New South Wales in Rounds 2 and 10, there is also a clash on the Gold Coast in Round 22 to close the season.

There are also five Saturday and three Sunday games scheduled in the first 14 rounds, plus byes in Rounds 8, 14, 17 and 20. 

There are two VFL and VFLW double-headers locked in at IKON Park with the VFL side taking on the Lions in Round 7 followed by VFLW action between the Blues and Casey, then in Round 11, the VFLW side will host the Southern Saints, followed by the VFL side taking on Frankston. 

Carlton’s VFLW campaign will kick off with back-to-back home games in Round 1 against Port Melbourne and Round 2 against Geelong. 

They will feature predominantly on Saturdays with only two Sunday fixtures in Rounds 6 and 10.  

The VFLW competition will have a bye week on the King’s Birthday weekend from June 10 – 12, with details for the Round 14 game against Darebin still to be confirmed.
